Awakening Records is excited to announce that the Chilean death/thrash metal horde DEMIURGUS has officially signed with Awakening Records. Since emerging from Santiago in 2019, DEMIURGUS has gone on to record a demo, an EP and the crushing Spanish-language single "La decapitación de Cronos." Featuring drummer Camilo Díaz, guitarist Bastián Calderón, bassist Javier Durán, and vocalist/guitarist Manuel J.S.M., the band has been diligently working on these new tracks that make up "Equilibrio" over the past few years.
Manuel J.S.M. says of their debut full-length release: "We are completely excited to be releasing our debut LP through Awakening Records, a label that we've had on our radar for a long time due to their importance and reputation in underground metal music and their dedication to it. They are well known for their amazing physical editions, so we are thrilled to see this in our own work. The experience has been great so far, and we cannot wait for people to see the results of our collaboration."
South American metal bands are notoriously known for their brutal and raw approach when it comes to creating vicious death and thrash metal, and DEMIURGUS is no exception. With influences drawn from "Human"-era DEATH, early SEPULTURA, and fellow countrymen CRIMINAL, DEMIURGUS's throat-ripping vocals, ear-destroying guitar riffs, blazing guitar solos, and relentless rhythm section are of the highest quality on the album's 10 explosive tracks.
