It's time to grab our cadaveric tools and begin digging another grave in Cadaveric Noiseletter's despicable musical graveyard, so we can welcome the rotten coffins of Vider, a project born from the nefarious depths of Sweden's impure Underground.

Vider presents us with an abrupt melody where his morbid and improvised riffs float in the musical atrocity that swallows us alive without mercy, and where the infernal rats of the underworld will not remain indifferent to the oppressive impact of the blunt call, which echoes from the abyss of death to devour our primitive bones in this decadent humanity.

Without wasting any more time, I invite all prophets of chaos in the icy catacombs of hell to read the upcoming interview that I had the great honor of conducting with the necrotic brother A.H., and which he will reveal to us a little more about Vider's origins and his filthy activities. Hate your nasty life and enjoy your filthy death!

PRIMITIVE HELLISH DEATH METAL OLD SCHOOL

C.N. - Hell-o, necro brother A.H. from the abominable depths of the Underground. Before we begin this damned interview, I'd like to welcome you to the cadaverous underworld. To begin this interview, I'd like to ask you to introduce us a little more about Vider and tell us how this project came about?
A.H.- Vider came out of frustration, I would say. I needed to make something true to myself… something that was unbound and born only out of hatred and inspiration.

C.N. - Vider is a project unearthed by a creature from the graveyard deep in the Swedish underground. I'd like to ask why you founded this misanthropic project, and where are you, the solitary gravedigger who unearths Vider's sinister melodies?
A.H.- I started vider because I wanted to set a tone of hatred and madness... I needed something real, ugly, and unfiltered… And Vider became my vehicle for that. I'm based in a small Community about an hour away from Gothenburg.

C.N. - You decided to name your project Vider. Why did you choose this name? Is there a special meaning that led you to choose the name Vider?
A.H.- Vider is a play on Words in Swedish. "Vidrig" means Horrid or Disgusting, so "Vider" would mean: Entity of Filth.

C.N. - Now, let's talk a little more about Vider's sound, which is quite raw and primitive, encompassing the morbid aspects of Death Metal entangled with the darkness of Black Metal, and where we can feel the violence of Grindcore. How would you define his extremely dirty sound, where the nauseating odors of death are a constant identity?
A.H.- Tonally, I wanted to create a mixture of the known "Swedish Death metal sound" combined with the atmosphere of older, more raw Black metal. I also wanted to borrow the punch from Death Metal, combined with the Power and Violence of Grindcore. It´s a hell of a mix.

C.N. - I'd also like to talk about and learn a little more about the apocalyptic approaches exposed in Vider's lyrics. Subjects like Death, Hate, Occultism, Evil, and Abominations are themes that can define Vider's message. Would you like to talk a little more about this and help us better understand the sonic chaos that Vider presents?
A.H.- Hate and Blame often come up… Sometimes disguised as something else… and sometimes undisguised as in the song "Unbridled hate".
Hate brings a lot of fuel, and my curiosity for the "occult" always finds its way into the lyrics.

C.N. - Earlier this year, in March 2025 to be precise, WolfKult Religion here in the Netherlands released Vider's debut album, "Strike With Putrefaction," on cassette. Recently, in September 2025, Necro Records in Germany released the vinyl version. Could you tell us a little more about your debut album and these killer releases that allow us to discover Vider in the putrid recesses of the underworld cemetery?
A.H.- The first album had been worked on for a while in my head. I had some ideas swirling around in my periphery while recording material for other bands. I came to a Point where I felt like I needed to take a chance on this abomination that is Vider. No finesse, no nonsense… Just pure energy and filth… That was the mantra... No bullshit, just riffs and chaos.

C.N. - I know you're preparing a split with the German band Bluthammer, titled "Wolfprotocol" and released on vinyl by WolfKult Religion. Would you like to tell us a little more about this split?
A.H.- It will be interesting to see how everyone reacts to this EP. or vinyl split... It´s a bit different from the first album. It´s a lot more chaotic and fast. If Strike with putrefaction was Heavy and punchy… this EP is more intense and maniacal. There´s still hard-hitting riffs, don't get me wrong. But there´s more atmosphere and speed on this release, I would say.

C.N. - Now that we know a little more about your cavernous ideologies and that allow you to proclaim death with chaos in the sonic filth, I would like to ask which bands contribute in some way and that you consider important as musical influences in Vider?
A.H.- I would say that bands like Dismember, Tormented, and Vorum are a solid chunk of what makes up the sound of Vider. But also bands like Teitanblood, Revenge, and Conqueror had a huge impact as well. i would say that Swedish bands often have a clearer song structure… while bands like Teitanblood and Revenge allow themselves not to be bound by structure in the same way. I guess I strive to allow myself to let go of rules and structures to a certain extent. I have a way of writing songs, and I will try to improve on what makes the songs good.

C.N. - The Swedish scene needs no introduction and has always been a benchmark for the extreme underground, from which emerge very interesting projects that are in some way references, especially in Death Metal. So, I'd like to ask you to name some bands that have contributed to keeping the true essence of the Swedish underground alive. I don't want to talk about mainstream bands that everyone knows, so I'd like to ask you to suggest some bands from the depths of the abyss that deserve your respect in the Swedish Underground?
A.H.- Vomitrot, awesome band. Tormented, their EP "Graveyard Lust" is 10/10 in my book. It came out in 2012, I think. The band "For the Pyres" is doing great work. Omnicidal and Rimfrost... Blodstank as well, I think they are releasing a new album soon. There´s a wide variety in style.

C.N. - Since Vider is a project that sees itself as nothing more than a creature of darkness, I assume you don't have any major plans to play live or participate in these types of overly social events. However, I'd like to ask what you think about it and if you ever plan to play live, or is that completely out of the question?
A.H.- Vider was never meant to be a live band. It was spawned within a dark cabin out of frustration and hatred. And it will most likely remain that way. There are bands who are out there doing great work, and they have my total respect. The scene needs live bands... but Vider won't be one of them as of right now.

C.N. - We currently live in an era where everything is offensive and where most so-called extreme bands are too preoccupied with pathetic sentimentality and all must be political correct, but in the end becoming nothing more than photocopies of each other, unable to even defend their ideals, ending up part of hypocritical herds where we can find only ridiculous essences, attitudes and where there's nothing that we can define as pure Extreme Underground. What's your opinion of this shitty modern Underground that's just another fruit salad for this new generation of musical prostitutes?
A.H.- Haha, you could not have said it better. If I'm gonna be completely honest... I don't care what those bands are doing. I don't go to their shows, I don't listen to their music, I don't care if they succeed or fail... They will end up with the audience or following that they deserve. I'm sure that you, as a music journalist, encounter these bands a lot more than I do. I focus on writing music that resonates with me, and saying what I want to say... unfiltered. I'm not interested in making money out of this, and I'm not interested in pleasing everyone with my music... this is something I need to do regardless of what anyone thinks of the music.

C.N. - I'd like to ask if Vider is already preparing his next attack of pure sonic hatred. What can you tell us or do you want to reveal about Vider's next release, or would you rather not talk about it for now. Prophets of doom should stay tuned until the cemetery rats begin devouring the remains you're possibly slowly dismembering right now for Vider's new work?
A.H.- I have deliberately taken a short break from recording anything for Vider… To make sure that what I end up making is something that allows me to lose myself in the process completely. The EP with Bluthammer was a great session, we will see how much of that madness carries over to the next album. Some day soon, the focus of the next album will show itself to me. All I know is that I want to improve on the sound of the first album and try to make something even harder and heavier.

C.N. - Before finishing this interview, I would like to ask what are your goals and plans are for the future of Vider?
A.H.- My goal is to dig deeper… I want to see what lies beyond what i've already excavated. I'm curious about how far I can allow myself to fall before I start recording... I want to impress myself.

C.N. - We've reached the end of this abominable interview, but before we end the cadaverous hostilities, I'd like to thank you for the time you took to respond to this interview, with the goal of making Vider a little better known in the cadaverous underworld of the Cadaveric Noiseletter musical graveyard. Now, I intend to leave this space open for you to state anything you consider relevant that hasn't already been addressed in this interview, as well as to thank or tell anyone you want to fuck off...
A.H.- Thank you for showing interest in Vider. Remain underground, Remain unbound. ODIUM SUPRA OMNIA.

Interview conducted by Danihell Slaughter from Murder Records.
