Melbourne / Adelaide, Australia. Cloven hooved, winged demons. Adelaide, Australia’s own city of churches, vaporized into smouldering iniquitous waste. A thunderous cacophony reverberates through ashes whilst cataclysmic battles rage. Sirens howl, heralding the arrival of Hellstorm Apocalypse.
It's near 15 years since Doomsayer (Guitars/Bass/Vocals/Synth – Beyond Mortal Dreams, Suffering, Oath of Damnation, ONI, Darklord & more) last collaborated with long-time comrade Hellaeon (Drums – ex-Beyond Mortal Dreams, Suffering, ONI, Darklord & more). 2024 wrought a desire to construct something dark and primal between them.
By virtue of their self-titled demo, HELLSTORM APOCALYPSE’s promulgation of war will sound 21st November 2025. HELLSTORM APOCALYPSE delivers five tracks and just under 30 minutes of destructive, dark black/death metal, including a cover of ARMOURED ANGEL’s ‘Hymn of Hate’. Inevitability, some will look to draw parallels between past and present entities Doomsayer and Hellaeon have been involved with. Forewarned, HELLSTORM APOCALYPSE is its own unhinged beast. Thick, churning riffs, righteous guitar solos and dynamic synth passages combine to create insidiously aphotic soundscapes. Hellaeon’s return from the abysses is scored by a violent combination of signature Hellaeon blasts encased in heavy, bone jarring strikes. Pure manic furiosity; whilst Doomsayer’s trademark cavernous, yet varied vocal range, rounds out the bands overall suffocating density.
Angels fall, demons rise, the portal opened, a world of fire. Hellstorm Apocalypse awaits.
