The riffs are catchy and fleshed out, ensuring that they remain memorable, and the delivery is brisk yet impactful. Mac Smith, fresh from his stint in Eschaton, once again does a stellar job doing vocals matching the tone and mood of the music, varying his deep growls with acidic rasps especially in moments of the blackened influences seeping through. "Adaptation" is a solid, enjoyable EP and coupled with their previous material as bonus, the definitive release serves as a fine introduction for this unheralded band that is poised for bigger things in the future.
